It can be disconcerting to contemplate the unknown and the mysterious. Far easier to be "certain" about things so you can be in control. I believe we can do what's necessary to save our planet. Even though humanity seems to be at great risk, I hope solutions exist yet to be discovered and they lay right around the corner. KAS
A friend posted this comment on FB. She makes an important point to Sagan's words. "I agree with this up to a point but some of the greatest astronomers were Jesuit priests and we would not have the scientific method if it were not for a Catholic monk." Kim Leister
