That's How The Light Gets In

The light is getting in.  May it reveal what needs correction to wholehearted and fair-minded citizens and result in the changes we need to bring true liberty and justice for all across our world. KAS

Two Kinds of People

Have you found this to be true in your world?  I know I've seen examples on the public stage.  KAS

Too Huge To Care

This thought hit me very hard.  It's up to us to provide the caring.  KAS

See What I Couldn't See Before

It's no fun to explore where it's hurting but there can be much to learn in that exact place.  KAS

No One Belongs Here More Than You

"To protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own."  This is the main take away for me.  May we find the courage to live the truth about who we are in our hearts.  KAS

Always Something To Do

Make sure you're not the one who is offering the three D's.  If so, forgive yourself, focus on what is good and carry on.  KAS

Blood Over Ink

A bit on the grim side, perhaps, but definitely food for thought.  Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.  KAS

Here's another for some balance.

Oh, yes, he said. Billions. It’s just that the bad ones make so much more noise.” —Lauren Groff

Choose Love Over and Over

I don't know about you, but these times are testing me on this with rigor.  It's requiring extreme amounts of paying attention and determination.  Persist in love. KAS

Only Silence Helps

The paradox of silence.  When is it called for and when is it complicit with injustice?  I've wrestled with this most of my life.  KAS

Choose To Shine

Stitched Together

Ok, I must change that to midday conversations unless you consider 5am "late-night."  Otherwise, this holds true for me with some additions to the stitching like the trees I've planted and seeds I've scattered.  It pleases me to have them as pieces of me.  KAS

Choose to do it differently

I have found this to be true.  After many reruns of unpleasant situations, it's sobering and refreshing to realize if any change is going to happen, it's up to me.  That doesn't make it one bit easier but it is empowering. Change is possible. Start close in, trust yourself, expect setbacks, start over again and again.  You've got this!  KAS

You Qualify

I confess to some giant resistance when I contemplate these words.  While I agree with the general concept; especially for creative occupations, there are some professions--like my doctor, the school bus driver, the pilot of the plane, those who teach--to name a few, who require qualifications from an outside board of educated, experienced people who have earned the right to assess another's competence.  KAS
