Talk about honing straight into what I need to hear.
"openness to the world" and "trust in the uncertain"
are definitely not on the top of my list of attributes.
And "willingness to be exposed"?
Hard no on this one.
I love the analogy of the plant rather than a jewel
and beauty being inseparable from fragility.
Aren't we all essentially fragile?
Temporary? And beautiful?

Hmm, trust in the uncertain isn't my normal state of mind, either, nor willingness to be exposed. The idea of beauty being inseparable from fragility is thought-provoking.
ReplyDeleteI think I've learned to trust that things will be uncertain but not in the uncertainty itself. I lean heavily in the opposite direction. It's awkward and unfamiliar to entertain the thought of trusting chaos which seems very similar to uncertainty to me. I guess it means trusting yourself enough to know you'll be able to navigate the unexpected, unplanned for and absence of clarity in any given situation?
