This prompts me to tend more alertly to my flower pots.
I love the phrase "each moment beading the rosary of our mortal lives";
as it connects deeply with my upbringing and
my mother's deep reverence for her rosary.
It is the first thing she does in the morning
and her "go to" when things trouble her.
It's what her caregivers reach for
to comfort her distresses.
Her diminishment at 95
and her oft repeated question
as to why she is still "here"
is a study in time and timelessness
and how to be tender with our moments,
and each other.
