Happiness

This is how we stay sane.
We don't turn our backs on reality.
We look at it with wide open, astounded eyes.
We let ourselves feel what we feel
in fierce (and sometimes grim) acceptance.
We do what we can do in each moment.
We release our debris to the compost bin.
We focus on "the beauty in the little things."

We wrap ourselves up with
"the power in the everyday".
