"When I missed the sea, I could lean my face into another person--
with worry or dangerous joy or grieving--and feel their tide."
I was immediately mesmerized when I heard this sentence.
It has been a dream of mine to live near the sea.
To realize that "leaning my face" into another person
links my internal sea, my tide, with theirs.
A different kind of coastline.
We are all mostly water.
We carry a sea within us.
