Even though comparative thinking
is one of those things we're encouraged NOT to do,
comparing my human lifetime to the lifetime of an Oak,
is a lesson in humility and awe.
One half the design for a complex human
implanted in a sperm is marvel enough.
It's astonishing to consider what is embedded
in one acorn!
