All Law-breaking Comes From "Greater Than" Thinking

Forgiveness and mercy.
What a concept!
How different would our world be
if everyone was granted a clean slate
and chance to "begin afresh."
If we truly lived out the golden rule.
Treating others as you would like to be treated.
There's more in the book on this.

For example...on managing conflicts...

"The rules of engagement are that you can only
cut your opponent (in a knife fight) on the arms,
shoulders, or back, and at the end of the fight,
the winner must get cut up the same as the loser."

and on narcissism...

"containing malignant narcissism is a team effort.
However, the combination of social fragmentation and lightening fast
communication means we have to deal with these crazy people alone,
as individuals butting heads with a narcissist is a lawless void. and
they are thriving unchecked in this environment."

So I'm thinking the "river of goodness" is the team
to keep those who think they're "better than" in check.
While at the same time, showing mercy to those who mess up.
Which means all of us cause we all mess up.
And we're smack in the middle of complexity, aren't we?
No "sound bites" apply.
Thank goodness the "river of goodness" is mighty!
